Advanced Driving Test is the basis of which you will train your student drivers.

This is just as it sounds. You must demonstrate that your driving ability is at the highest standards expected from a normal learner driver on a test.

The Advanced Driving Test lasts approx 1 hour and consists of:

Eye Sight Check- reading a vehicle registration from a distance of up to 90 feet.

Basic Maintenace/Saftey Checks to your vehicle known as Show Me-Tell Me questions.

Driving over a set route for about 25 miles on various types of roads:

Side Roads

A Road (Urban & Rural)

Motorways & Dual Carriageways

Demonstrating all 7 manoeuvres:

Emergency Stop

Left Reverse

Right Reverse

Turn In The Road

Reverse Bay Park

Reverse Parallel Park

U-Turn (wide road or roundabout)

You can make no more than 6 minor driver faults to pass and you are allowed a maximum of 3 attempts.
